Forbidden Art

Why does street art hold out attention so well?  It is temporary. No one is going to place it in a museum.  No one is going to touch it up in a hundred years.  No one is going to profit from it.  Graffiti demands to be admired because it has a short life span.  A true artist creates a visual from their soul, for themselves, not money, or recognition.  I am exhausted from seeing an abundance of heartless "masterpieces."  There is so much beauty in forbidden art, so much to lose, so much to say.

"  The greatest crimes in the world are not committed by people breaking the rules but by people following the rules. It's people who follow orders that drop bombs and massacre villages.  " Banksy

This was painted over a few days later.
